Tree Felling Techniques

a professional tree felling

The traditional technique of tree removal or cutting is a simple notch and back out from the area. This simple technique can result in proper falling of a tree, but in some areas, technical ways are required for the tree falling because you are cutting a tree while standing close and under it, which possess a danger to you. That’s why these advanced techniques are now used by tree cutting services for tree felling to ensure the safety of workers and their surroundings.

Bore Cuts

The old style of cutting a tree requires a back cut that results in falling, but the trees that have large or leaning trunks can cause problems with this technique and can fall in any other direction.

In this time bore cut helps in cutting a tree, a chainsaw makes cutting through the trunk in certain directions leaving some of the area intact, and then that leftover area is used for completion and backing out from the site of a falling tree.

Felling Aids

Felling aids are used in falling off a tree that remains standing even after cutting they usually include metal bars that are inserted into the back cut and require human power to make the tree fall in the proper direction.

Tree falling wedges can also be used as felling aids, these wedges should be inserted by a sledgehammer in the area where cuts have been made in order to stop the tree to fall in that direction, they also help in maintaining the right direction of falling of a tree.

Tree Driving

Tree driving is a technique used for falling trees by each other. It is mostly used for the trees that are tangled with branches of some other tree. In this technique, the tree that is driving another tree should have adequate height, weight and, a natural lean to make a fall.

Back Pulling

When a tree has a naturally lean and you want it to fall in another direction then this technique comes in handy. It usually involves a winch system that is placed at a certain length to pull a tree and to make it fall. This technique helps in falling those trees that may cause harm to your home, electrical wires, and other property-related stuff. Tightening the rope at the high end of a tree can result in a better falling direction.

Crane Removal

In populated and residential areas tree falling is not an easy task to perform, it requires a plan that is not exceptionable and cannot harm property. In this case, crane removal is considered a useful technique because there is not enough space in residential areas to fall a full-grown and large tree, this technique cuts the tree into small pieces that are easy to move from the property. This technique saves time and harm to the infrastructure of the residential area.

Make sure to contact the tree cutting service if you want a tree to be removed because they can evaluate which technique to use by surveying your area and size of the tree by following all safety precautions regarding your property and surrounding infrastructure.…

Challenges for working in North America west coast

North America is the largest continent that comes on the third number in America. There are many small islands found in this area. There landscapes and forests found in this area to enhance its beauty. North America is divide is divided according to its physical region like there is a mountain on the west side. These mountains are known as the Rocky Mountains which have a massive range throughout this area. These forests have a moderate temperature which is beneficial for the tree and plants. There is some popular tree found in these forests like spruce, Douglas and red cedar. There are some deserts in this region of North America. The deserts were found near the Rocky Mountains. The important thing is this area has plenty of oil and natural gas in the ground. We have faced many different challenges while working in this North America west coast region some of them are discussed below.

Use of machines:

There are landscapes and heavy forests with the desert area in this region. The machines can reach their easily we need helicopters to transfer machines from one place to another. The most difficult part is the handling of the machines in this area. The machines used for the landscaping are different from the machines used for tree cutting or trimming. The machines are necessary to use in this area because the work not done by the hands. If the machine faces any problem or breakdown we have to call the mechanic by paying the extra cost. The trees required the regular trimming according to their growth pattern. We have to take care of every single tree.

Availability of skilled workers:

This area is hundreds of miles away from the city, and no one is willing to work in this area. We have to hire the workers on a contractual basis and provide them food and place for their living. Even the tree service provider is not agreed to work in this place. Most people found this place dangerous due to the availability of harmful animals and reptiles like bear and rattlesnake. The tree services provider are not available easily. We have to guide the local worker for tree trimmings and cuttings.

There is no proper track for vehicles to enter in this area. We faced a lot of problems during cutting the trees and shaping the landscapes. The trucks can’t be moved easily, we have to throw the trees into the sea.

Water shortage:

There is a shortage of water in this area of North America west coast region. The 95 percent of the forest area is covered by sea water. The sea water can damage the soil if the soil is damaged the trees will fall or have diseases. The soil erosion started, the water from the glaciers will be beneficial for the trees and plants. The trees need fresh water to grow faster or healthier. The trees would start affected by different diseases. we need fresh water to save trees from drying and get affected.

All these challenges are faced by us during working at the North American west coast region. If we have the proper equipment’s and transportation facility to this area we can work easily or get the benefits from the abandoned of the resources available in this area. We are experts in our field and try you give our best at any condition.

Are fertilizers are good for trees?

Trees are the wonderful blessing of nature. They provide us with the food, shelter and the most important thing is the oxygen. They can absorb the dangerous gases from the air and also filter the dust. There is no life without the trees, even animals, birds and insects can’t live without the trees. Now people are aware of their advantages and focusing on planting them their gardens. Some people plant trees for the sake of fruits, some plant trees to enhance the beauty of their garden and some people plant trees to contribute the fresh air in their area. The trees need proper food for their healthy growth like water, sunlight, and fertilizers. Fertilizers play an important role in the healthy growth of trees and plants. Fertilizer can enrich the soil by providing the necessary nutrients and help the trees to grow healthier.
Need for the fertilizers:
There are many different types of soil around the world. Even in the same city or area, the soil may be different in the properties. Somewhere there is dark gray or somewhere it’s in black alkaline colour. These types of soil are prone and have the cracks in the hot summer. In this soil, there is very hard for the plants to grow. The roots of the trees are unable to grow deeper or get strength. The compaction and the rocks in the soil affect their growth badly.
How to fertilize trees?
The plants absorb fertilizers when the water is showered on them, the fertilizer mixes in the water and gets easily accessible to the roots. The fertilizers are applied on the surface of the soil or underneath the soil for better results. The fertilizers can be directly injected in the trunks for providing the nutrients to the roots and this technique is called deep root fertilization. The liquid form of the fertilizer can be sprayed by the foliar to provide the immediate nutrients to the leaves of the trees. The trees required the fertilizers for their efficient growth on a regular basis according to their requirements.
Types of the fertilizers:
There are two different types of fertilizers organic or inorganic. The inorganic fertilizer can be in solid or liquid form and are formulated chemically to add specific nutrients to the soil. The inorganic fertilizer is packed with nitrogen, potassium and phosphorous. The inorganic fertilizer can damage or cause the fertilizer burn to the plants due to the over saturation of these elements. It can spoil the water, which is dangerous for the animals to drink. It is important to have the proper study about the requirement of yurt soil and the need for the plant, so you can apply that certain amount or the fertilizers according to their needs. The organic fertilizers are made from natural materials. It can be in solid or liquid form; they are good for the soil amendment. There are many examples of the organic fertilizers that can be easily produced at home like, compost tea, biosolids, and bone meal. Some fertilizers may contain the bacteria and the fungi which are helpful to enhance the quality of the soil. They are produced from the natural elements and the process, so they are less harmful to the plants and the soil. You can hire a certified arborist for the process of fertilization.…

Tree maintenance and storm damage – some essential tips you must know!

Trees in your yard can have surplus environmental benefits in addition to providing shade and enhancing the overall look of your property. However, taking care of trees should be your top priority if your area is more vulnerable to hazardous storms or if a major storm swept through your area. if they are not properly maintained or inspected, trees can pose a safety hazard for you and your family and can have an imminent threat to your property.

To prevent your trees from becoming a safety hazard, few tips must be taken into consideration. These tips are very crucial for trees maintenance as storm occurrences in the form of tornadoes, hurricanes, and thunderstorms, etc can have a massive impact on trees.

  1. Check on for damaged branches

Cracked, broken or dangling branches of the tree could be very hazardous as they can break and fall off any time. you must get rid of these safety hazards and they need to be addressed as soon as possible to avoid imminent damage to you and your family. These damaged and broken branches need to be removed as early as possible by a professional arborist or a tree service company.

  1. Fallen debris must be cleaned earlier

The untreated debris left after a large storm such as twigs, leaves, and twigs can be very harmful to the health of your trees. It’s crucial to clear them up from under the trees or the ground instead of leaving it to decompose. If left, this debris can breed the ideal ground for soil-borne fungus and can be very harmful to the trees.

  1. Draining excessive water

Serious action must be taken if you see ponds of water around the tree base. The excessive pool of water around the tree can be very detrimental and can weaken the roots of your trees. It’s better to adjust the soil grade or add a drainage tile around the tree for a more permanent solution.

  1. Adding new mulch

Mulch is beneficial for your trees and serves multiple purposes for trees that include the prevention of soil compaction, repelling weeds, insulating soil and aiding in water retention. The heavy storm flows away from the mulch under your tree that demands a call to action. After drying out the ground a bit, root base of the tree must be added with an extra mulch that should be around 4 inches. But, don’t forget to leave breathing space for the tree around the base.

  1. Water and fertilizer

After the heavy storm has receded and ground comes back to its normal moisture level, damaged trees must be given some serious attention. The tree’s ability to absorb nutrients from the soil and pull water can be reduced after storming events as they cause damage to the tree tissues. To increase the availability of the nutrients in the soil of the tree and to enable it to pull optimum water, it is beneficial to add the best suited organic fertilizers. These fertilizers will assure that your tree maintains an optimum chemical balance and overcomes the lacking of nutrients into the soil.

Final thought

Storm damage can be very injurious to the health of your tree especially the ones with high hail and winds. These storms can have extensive damage to the roots of the trees and hence, it is advisable to take proper care of them beforehand. To assess any storm damage, it is better to hire a certified arborist to get the things done smoothly instead of experimenting by yourself. A lot of tree surgeons and tree service companies have been providing with impeccable services to get you through all the problems of your trees and get you prepared for the storm season.…

Working in the North American west coast region

The forests are the greatest blessing of nature. They can contribute a lot in our daily life like they can protect the water, provide food, shelter and control soil erosion. The American forests are fertile and help the growth of the timber. There are heavy forests found in the North American west coast region. I have started my learning about forestry from my childhood. I have to manage the many different kinds of woodlots and especially the responsibility of taking care of the timber. I have done my masters in forestry. Now I am providing services for the trees in the forest and shaped the beautiful landscapes. I have done many different projects in my life; the North American west coast is one of them. And there some issues faced by us during working on the North American west coast.

Insects and animal:

It is like the inviting place for non-native species. They cause havoc during the work, the many different insects often found in our camps. The dangerous reptiles like snakes are found in this area which can disturb us. According to the research, there are around 6500 non-native species found in this area. For protection from these things, there should be the proper equipment’s provided by the government. There should be a proper staying place for the workers to ensure their comfort and safety.

Change in climate:

In this area the climate changes within the seconds, and when climate changes it will affect the forests. The glaciers started melting and the landscapes shifted into the forests. The rise in the temperature will affect the growth of the trees and can damage the soil. The melting of the glaciers can cause floods which can destroy the trees and plants. We have to face these climate changes during working in the North American west coast area. For this, we must have the latest devices which can predict the weather forecast so we can manage our task according to it.
Supply of fresh water and food:
There are no proper facilities available near this area, we have to travel thousands of miles from this area to find the food and the water. This area is covered with the landscapes and the heavy forests when going inside it is not possible for you to return back in a few minutes. So we have to store the food and water for many days. If we need something we have wait till the supplies come.

Lost contact:

The main issue we faced while working in this area is the lost of the mobile signals. There is no mobile network in this area, and there is no electricity in this area. We have to arrange generators for working and living. There is no hospital near this area if someone is ill or faces an accident we have to call for rescue services to help us. To avoid these situations there should be a medical camp or hospital in this area.…
